TESTING:

The company also have its separate testing laboratory and expertise who  test the  products by proper testing method which follows the international standards of testing  . The company tests its products at the level of high standard, so that it makes its customers  trouble-free.

The company conduct several test for its wire and conductors . These test include Physical , Mechanical and Electrical Tests.

The Physical test include :

The Mechanical test include :

  1. Tensile Test
  2. Elongation Test
  3. Wrapping Test
The correct diamensional requirnment determine by means of a suitable micrometer and by taking the mean of two measurments at right angles made at the same cross -section of a sample taken from any part of a coil , reel or drum .

Tensile Test

The test shall be applied to wires of all diameters and to the component wires of standed conductors, the test on the latter being made, whenever practicable , before stranding. It is not possible to test the component wires of a stranded conductor before stranding , the test may be made on wires taken form the conductor. In such cases the breaking load of any of the wires shall be not less than 92.5 % and the average breaking load of all the wires in a stranded conductor shall be not less than 94 % .

Elongation Test

The load shall be applied gradually and uniformly to a straightened length of wire, having an original gauge length of 200 mm. Alternatively a gauge length of 250 mm may be used . The elongation shall be measured on the gauge length after the fractured ends have been fitted together. The determination shall be valid, whatever the position of the fracture, if the specified value is reached. If the specified value is not reached, the determination shall be valid only if the fracture occurs between the gauge marks and not closer than 25mm to either marks.

Wrapping Test

This test applied only to wire in the H condition. The wire shall be wrapped round a wire of its own diamater to form a close helix of eight turns. Six turns shall then be unwrapped and again closely re-rapped in the same direction as the first wrapping . To comply with the requirements of the test the wire shall not break when thus tested.

Electrical Test include :

Resistance test

The resistance per unit length shall be determined by the direct measurment on the sample according to the specification .
